Miami Immersion
2-day leadership resilience immersion through freediving & elite ocean training
The Ocean Oriented™ Miami Immersion is a two-day, in-person leadership resilience training experience conducted in the ocean. Offered one-to-one or in a small, focused group, the immersion uses freediving, breathwork, and time at sea as a practical environment for learning how to meet stress, uncertainty, and challenge with greater control and clarity.
Rather than teaching concepts in a classroom, the experience places participants directly in situations that require calm focus, self-regulation, and trust in the body. The ocean becomes the setting where insight is earned through experience, not theory.
The Miami Immersion is led by Dr. Lindsay Bira, a Harvard-trained performance psychologist and PADI Freedive Instructor, alongside the Ocean Oriented™ team. Dr. Bira has trained elite performers and special operations forces, and brings a science-based, results-driven approach to resilience and leadership development.
Each participant works directly with Dr. Bira to identify personal growth edges and performance goals. These are actively trained at sea and reinforced through structured reflection and follow-up, ensuring that insights gained during the immersion translate into everyday life and leadership.
What’s included in the 2-Day Immersion?
The Miami Immersion includes two full days of leadership resilience and PADI freediving training, with the opportunity to achieve Level 1 and/or Level 2 certification. Spearfishing and lobster training are layered in with expert guides, adding survival skills and another discipline to the experience.
Participants are provided with top-of-the-line, custom-fitted gear, professional underwater videography and photography, and a professionally edited highlight film. The experience concludes with an ocean-to-table dinner at Ocean Oriented™ headquarters in Miami Beach, where the group celebrates the journey and anchors the experience together.
